Teacher & Staff Appreciation
At least, each month PTO provides something supportive to the teachers and staff such as "stock the fridge", supply shop, breakfast, yogurt bar, food trucks in the morning or afternoon, "Gift of Time", etc.
New Teacher Bags and Welcome Back Lunch for Teachers and Staff
The PTO provides the newest folks of the GYE staff bags to welcome them on their first day of training. Also, lunch is provided to all teachers and staff on of the in-service training days during the first week of school preparations.
Birthday Grams
Birthday grams are a fun and easy way to celebrate your favorite Glenn York Ranger. We will hand deliver a special present to them in class on their birthday. Choose from a selection of pens, badges, bracelets, and yard signs. Every kid loves feeling extra special on their birthday!
Boo-Hoo Breakfast
For the first time Kindergarten parents who are dropping off their child/ren. PTO hosts our newest parents to a coffee, sweet treat and a Kleenex! Come & meet our team and other Kinder parents! “Boohoo” together on your child’s first day of Kindergarten at Glenn York Elementary!
Fundraisers
The PTO is committed to making a real impact for our students & staff. We have a variety of fundraising activities throughout the school year for parents and families to participate in. We recently reached our long-term fundraising goal to install a new playground and shade cover for students. This year, our goal is to raise funds for new tables for the cafeteria!
Volunteer and Committee Chair Opportunities
All year the PTO and school have volunteer opportunities for GYE parents that support PTO by being a Ranger Supporter. Other opportunities to support the PTO is by being a committee chair for groups such as teacher appreciation; volunteer and events.

Trunk or Treat
This is the PTO's gift to the community each year!!! It could not be done without all the great parent, community member and student volunteers that participate each year. The GYE parking lot and cafeteria are filled with trunks, auction items, games, food, music, a petting zoo and contests!! Everyone in the community is invited to come have some safe fun in costume or not while collecting candy and other great resources.
Holiday Photos
Each school year the PTO will sponsor holiday photos for our students. We have a professional photographer come to the school and prepare multiple backdrops one usually holiday decorated, and one seasonally decorated for families to share yearly memories with others. We offer single photos as well as sibling photos for all to enjoy.
Valentine's Grams
Valentine Grams are a great way for our students to be loved on and to love on others. This is a fundraiser that allows locals as well as out-of-towners to participate in ordering Valentine gifts to be sent to your student's classroom. The kiddos also enjoy ordering these trinkets to be sent to their friends. Some parents and teachers use this activity as a way to save time in shopping for Valentines for the whole classroom.
Ranger Round-up Dance and Auction
Howdy! In 2024 we held our first ever Ranger Roundup Family Dance! GYE rangers and their families enjoyed dancing and activities in their western wear. Food Trucks were present, and multiple prizes were raffled off with great excitement. We hope to make this a Ranger tradition each year!
5th Grade Celebration
On the last day of the school year, we gather to acknowledge our 5th graders and their tremendous achievement over the past 6 years. The PTO Board sets up multiple fun outdoor activities for the kids to enjoy before partaking in pizza and
ice pops. This celebration is capped off by the 5th grade
clap out.
PTO General Meetings
The PTO Board meets monthly to stay updated and plan for the execution all all events and PTO activities. At least twice a year, the whole community is invited and encouraged to join in the PTO General Meetings. These meetings will keep you informed and give you an opportunity to share your thoughts with the PTO and the school administration.
